1. Usher Raymond IV was born in Dallas and grew up in Chattanooga, TN.


2. He loved to play with Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots as a kid.

3. He owes his success to God and is very religious.


4. Usher started his singing career in the St. Elmo Missionary 
Baptist Church Choir in Chattanooga.


5. He admitted he was a wannabe breakdancer as a kid. "I'd try the Windmill, anything- even if I might break my neck."


6. At sleepovers, little Usher preferred listening to slow jams while the other kids were playing hide and seek.


7. He moved to Atlanta at 12 when he had to leave his first singing group. He was bummed because they had a demo tape ready.


8. His big break was on Star Search, where he sang "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. He won many times and then a record company signed him up.


9. At 14, Usher sung a jingle for a Coca-Cola ad.


10. After that, he released his first album entitled "Usher", produced by Sean Puffy Combs.


11. Usher lived with Puffy while making his first album.

12. Puffy considered Usher to be his "little brother" and still does!


13. After creating his first album, Usher lost his voice due to puberty and had a bad case of acne! He said that things sucked for him at the time.


14. He had a long-term girlfriend in high school and was totally in love with her. "She brought me happiness." Usher took her to the movies and to amusement parks. Lucky her!


15. Usher's trademark: leaving his sneakers onstage after shows. He has a diamond studded pair. No way he'll be leaving those!


16. Usher's famous move is to drop his pants onstage (with boxers on). He said that he wouldn't be doing that anymore. (darn)


17. His grandma was the one who thought up the dropping his pants thing! "She told me, 'You're sexy- why don't you go ahead?'"


18. The boy is mine... it was rumored that Usher dated both Brandy and Monica (at different times though!). He said that they were both just good friends. (hmm)


19. Guess who gave Usher his first condom? His grandma!!


20. Usher got a role in the horror movie, The Faculty. He is acting as Gabe.


21. He got robbed while filming the movie in Texas. It was a director's chair with his name on it that was stolen!


22. While filming The Faculty, Ush went to a CD store and bought every copy of My Way they had- he wanted to give them to his co-stars. How sweet!


23. Usher was interested in a guest role on The Bold and the Beautiful because his mom digs the show! 

24. Ush and his little bro are tight- they hang out and walk their dogs together.


25. His mom always wanted a Mercedes-Benz and after Usher made some $, he bought one for her!


26. When Usher's home, his mom fixes his fave dinner: spaghetti.

27. Usher's best friend is his mom! "Jonetta Patton is the most important person in my life." She's also his full-time manager.


28. The sneakers that he leaves onstage after a show are size 13 by the way.


29. He says: "Seeing my mother happy." is the best thing about being a mega superstar.
