Eventhough this movie was out in late 1996 is still reccoment this movie because it really did really well with the special effects. I was suprise to see real time computer graphic on the movie because I didn't think that hollywood was ready to do something like this.
Emmrich got his respect fom hollywood when he did this movie but with all the hype and the comotion I thought I would get more.
Will Smith's second action movie next to "Bad Boys" did really well. He gave us the comic releaf that we needed. Jeff Goldblum is a great actor. he plays he charcters smoothly, it doesn't sound like he is reading from the script. These two actors should be more noticed in the movie idustry.
The movie itself had a great plot, but think they sould of made the alien a little bit more origianl with them. The aliens looked like the one that people describe who got snatched by them and thought that was not orgianlly at all.
But I'll tell that this movie has the best special effects of its time. My god it was awsome. My mouth was wide open when the White House blow on the big screen. Too bad that it is not out in thearters, because the only thing you would want to see on a big screen are big action films. This is a must see movie, eventhough I gave it 4 1/2 stars, you'll understand stand why!
