KEY LIME PIES
FROSTY KEY LIME PIE

  • crunchy pretzel crust (posted under pies)
  • 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp. grated lime peel
  • 1/2 c. lime juice (2 limes)
  • 1 can (14oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • few drops of green food color; if desired
    1. Prepare crunchy pretzel crust (or a chocolate ready to use crust makes this pie even easier to prepare.

    2. Place remaining ingredients in food processor ( i use a mixer--don't have food processor) cover and process until smooth. pour into crust.

    3. Cover and freeze about 6 hours or until set.
    Let stand at room temperature a few minutes before cutting.
    Cover and freeze any remaining pie.
    About 8 servings



    FAVORITE KEY LIME PIE

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 6 tbls. Key Lime juice ( or Real Lime Juice) 1 9 inch
  • prepared graham cracker pie shell cool whip
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • fresh lime sliced
  • green food coloring (optional)
    Preheat oven to 250º.
    Combine milk and egg yolks in a blender or food processor on low speed.
    Slowly add lime juice, vanilla, and food color, mixing until well blended.
    Pour into pie shell and bake 20 min.
    Let cool and refrigerate.
    Top with whipped cream and a slice of lime.
