CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE
CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE

  • 4 (1oz. squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 4 tbls. butte
  • 2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla LI> 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbls. flour
  • 2 c. coursely chopped pecans (8oz.)
  • 1 (9 in) unbaked pastry shell
  • 3 oz. bittersweet or semisweet chocolate cut into 1/2 inch chunks LI> whipped cream
  • 1. preheat oven to 375º.
    In a 1 qt. glass bowl, combine unsweetened chocolate and butter.
    Heat in a microwave oven on high 1 min. or until melted and smooth when stirred.
    Add brown sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, salt and flour and mix until well blended.
  • 2. spread pecans over bottom of unbaked pastry shell. sprinkle bittersweet or semisweet chocolate pieces over nutes.
    Top with filling.
  • 3. Bake 35 To 40 min. or until set.
    Cover edges of pie crust with foil during last 15 min. of baking time if necessary; to prevent over browning.
    Serve warm or chilled with whipped cream
