Sift flour, sugar, 2 tbsp. cocoa, baking powder
and salt: stir in milk and melted shortening.
Mix until smooth; add chopped nuts.
Turn into generously greased and floured 9 x 9x 2-1/2-inch pan.
Sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and
remaining cocoa.
Pour hot water over the entire batter.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cut in squares; invert squares on plates.
Dip sauce from pan over each.
Serve plain, with whipped cream, or ice cream.
