SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE


Sweet Potato Casserole with Crunchy Topping

  • 3 cups mashed,cooked sweet potatoes              
  • one cup sugar LI> 1/2 tsp salt---
  • 1/2 stick margarine melted---
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk---
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring---
  • 1 tsp. sherry flavoring---
  • 2 eggs beaten.
    Combine potatoes,sugar,salt,margarine, milk,flavorings and eggs.
    Turn into a greased baking dish.
    Sprinkle with topping made by blending:    
  • one cup brown sugar,
  • 1/3 stick margarine,
  • 1/3 cup flour,
  • one cup nuts.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
