Established new 'points in a match' and 'points in a season' records for the first division in the 1998 N.P.C. In 1998 he was awarded the Tom French Cup for the Outstanding Maori Player of the Year - and the Air New Zealand Cup for the Outstanding First Division N.P.C.  Player. Is already second on the Highlanders points scoring list and third on the Otago points scoring list.
