Hey, Ya'll!!
Welcome to my Home!
It's a busy little place with busy little(actually, pretty good-sized)people happily being home in it.
Home faces South.
Yes, this IS the front door, but nobody uses it except the pizza delivery folks.

You're facing West here. If you look off into the distance,
you can see "Skyline Drive" or "Razor Ridge".
I never heard it called "Razor Ridge" until recently. Texans, go figure.
This is the road that the deer bound down.
Three days after we moved into this house a buck came trotting down this road.
I've seen at least 5 deer, at different hours, on this road.

My partner, John, has this thing for toilets filled with flowers.
I absolutely REFUSE to say anything about "anal". Nope, ain't gonna do it.
(grin...snicker...chortle)
There's another toilet on the East side of the house, too.

By the way, none of the flowers (not one, nada, zip) were here when we moved in January of '03.
No grass either, for that matter.
What you're looking at is hours of back breaking labor and love.
We're also renters.
Home is home, tho. I don't care how it comes.

Looking North/Northwest, to your far left is last year's May Pole.
Morning Glories volunteered all around it this year,
so John made me a brand new May Pole.

The Veggie Garden is between last year's May Pole and the entrance to my "Fairy Garden".

This would be the entrance to my Fairy Garden.
The path is flanked by feverfew. We have to duck that plum tree whenever we enter.

This is on the other side of the zinnias which border the South side of the Veggie Garden.
We went up into the mountains, about 15 minutes away, and gathered white and pink quartz.
John built up the South side of the Fairy Garden for me which I promptly threw in dirt, compost, and mulch.
This is my space.
I definitely need a better camera, tho, huh?

Colorado Springs is on the other side of these mountains. You're facing Northeast.
Boy-child washing car. Honeysuckle on white trellis with lettuce as border.
Roses climbing other trellis.

This is the Southeast corner. You are facing North.
The boy-child would be washing car to the top left if you could see him.
I had a young buck on the island at dusk a couple of months back.
Think deer might be my totem?

Facing West. Skyline Drive in the distance.
Pear Street, just by the way, is the deer thoroughfare.

Facing South. More mountains. Deerses standing in my yard on this corner.
Yep, you bet I love my home.
