Soprano, Managing Director , Costume Designer

Elaine is the Managing Director for First Act Opera International Ltd with the responsibility for funding and administering the company. Her interests include production and sharing the marketing role of First Act Management. Elaine is also responsible for designing, sourcing (and sometimes still producing!) all the costumes and stage props for First Act Opera of which there are now over 1000 items. She began singing with First Act Opera three years ago and includes in her repertoire Frasquita in Bizet's Carmen, Kate Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly and the Marriage Broker in Mister Butterfly. She has appeared in countless venues including The Savoy, The Banqueting House and Kensington Palace and she has given two special concerts for the Prime Minister and Mrs Major. In Hong Kong last year she played the rĂ´les of Flora and Annina in `La traviata' at The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. In 1994 she featured in a documentary about opera and business sponsorship shown by BBC Breakfast Television & BBC World Service Satellite.
