MARRIED: his wife is Kathlyn White; they were married on December 13, 1974
(like Alan and Suzanne, they're celebrating their 25th anniversary this year!)
FAMILY: five children--Amy (1976), Steven (1978), Gregory (1981), Sarah (1982) and
Michele (1986)--and one son-in-law, Lucas Bingham, as well as a new grandson, Jacob (1999)
ILLNESS: he had a tumor in his brain (it was discovered in 1994) but he is now
fully recovered
