Prayer

What about prayer? Some people use prayer as an urgent and desperate plea for
help at the eleventh hour when all else has failed. For others, prayer is simply quiet
meditation. Other people regard prayer as reciting short memorised (or read)
messages automatically, with little or no meaning for the one who is praying. Still
others believe prayer is a direct communication with God.

How do you feel about prayer? What does prayer mean to you?
Do you take time to use this powerful tool when you are in need of help, or do
you not bother to use prayer?
Do you know who you are praying to when you pray?

We say that prayer is talking to God, communing with the highest part of ourselves,
the God-Self within. Meditation is listening to God talking to us.

In either case it is only a local call, not a long distance one, so feel free to do both
regularly.!

Words are not even necessary, for it is that quiet, silent prayer which reveals to
you the fullness of this glorious life which is your true heritage.

Talk to God. Listen to God. You do not have to search for God outside of yourself.
God is always there waiting to be recognised. Recognise your oneness now, God in
you and you in God. Call upon your God-Self at any time and you will always find
the Divinity within you ready to help you in every way. Try it and discover it for
yourself. It works!
