Papyrus Dimensions:


     Frag. a: 8.0 cm wide x 4.7 cm high
     Frag. b: 3.2 (approx.) cm wide x 1.9 cm high
     Frag. c: 2.7 cm wide x 2.7 cm high 
     Frag. d: 2.9 cm wide x 5.9 cm high
   
Description:

     Four separate non-joining fragments from a papyrus document.
     Incomplete documentary text.
     The relative alignment of Fragments a and b  can  
     be approximated based of their fiber patterns.

     
Recto

     Written in a Demotic script.
     The writing is across the fibers.
     Written in black ink.
     The ink is partially "washed off" due to their
     recovery from mummy cartonnage (see note below).

      Four lines of text written in black ink.
      Side cut edge of document is preserved.
      Left document margin preserved.

    Frag. b

      Two lines of text written in black ink.
      Possilbe right margin partially preserved.

    Frag. c

      Three lines of text written in black ink.
      Left document margin partially preserved indicating
      approximate position of fragment in the document.

      Six lines of text written in black ink.

Note:

     These fragments were recovered from the cartonnage 
     of a Ptolemaic Period mummy mask. *
     The fragments are mounted in glass.

     *  Greek Pap. 3 and Greek Pap. 4 were recovered 
     from the same mummy mask.
