Tibetan Auspice Manuscript

     Mongolia, Ulambator, 19th - early 20th century


     Manuscript in pothi format consisting of 7 leaves (6.4 cm high x 16.8 cm wide)
     on light brown un-watermarked laid paper (chain and rule lines visible).

     Tibetan text written in a dbu-can script in black and red ink.
     Foliation is in words.
     Pages have decorative and line borders drawn in pink (pale red) ink.

     Folio 1a contains the manuscript title written in black and red ink.
     It is enclosed in geometric border and is highlighted with yellow line.
    
     Folios 1b and 2a have text enclosed in decorative geometric borders.
     
     Folio 7a has colored drawings of 7 auspicisous symbols.
     The drawings are outlined in black ink with red, pink and yellow fill.
    
     Page edges show light soiling and some wear from usage. 
     There are minor water-stains on several pages.
