This was a very nice show during a two show night (I was also at the Ladybug Transistor/Papas Fritas/Anne Summers show at the Black Cat). I just went for Beulah, who very as good live as they are on disc. They opened the show with an instrumental and then right into a song off of the new album. The crwod was great, a lot of them knew Beulah's songs and were singing along, too. The highlight of the night was "If We Can Land on the Moon, Surely I Can Win Your Heart." I was singing at the top of my lungs, as was the kid behind me. Apparently they weren't much into Gomez (the headliners), considering that they thought they were from Canada. They ended the set by pulling three kids on stage to play the tambourines and shakers with them, thanked the crowd, and then left the stage. Very good show.
