Lancaster, Lancaster, oh so tacky. I was determined to have a good time at this show because I cut out of class early and missed vital information for my upcoming test, but come on, it's Joan of Arc! I arrived well into the show, Fastbreak and In a Silent Way had already played, and Saves the Day was getting ready to play. Although i enjoy this band, I knew it would turn into a fiasco of bearded and pierced hardcore guys closing their eyes, pointing their fingers in the air while mouthing along with the lyrics in the pit. To top it all off, the lead singer told the super-emo story of how he misses his mom when he is away at school. Needless to say, tehy played a great show, with the best songs being the two new ones they played. Before Farside, a guy who is touring with JoA, M. Estrella played a few songs in the back corner. He was diffrent, reminded me of Atom & his Package.
Farside was much different, they were oh so good. Their sound was light years ahead of Saves the Day's standard hardcore fare. They varied the songs, threw in slow and fast and traded vocals between the two guitarists. A definte, definite must to catch live!
Joan of Arc made their way to the stage a short time later and played a very low key set, at times they were almost silent. As always, Tim told alot of stories (none of which I remember) and played songs encompassing the three albums.

I was in front of Tim for their set, so I managed to grab a set list. I was hoping they would do an encore, but I guess that's not their thing. An excellent show, although I could have stood for a few more songs.
