Aden/True Love Always/Sarah Dougher/the Crabs

10.16.99...Bryn Mawr College Campus Center Bryn Mawr, PA

After a long day of school work, I decided that I needed a reward, and a fitting reward would have to be this wonderful show at Bryn Mawr College. I wasn't exactly sure where to go because I've never been around the campus before. When I got off of the Schuykill, I drove past the campus a couple of times before I just decided to turn down a street. Luckily it was the right one, and I found the campus center a short time thereafter due to the help of two very nice people.

As typical with me, I arrived at the show early, luckily I wasn't the only one who had done so. About 30 mins later, Aden went on to a small amount of people there. They played a good set, more enjoyable than their set last summer at Fort Reno. The Aden entourage was basically True Love Always fronted by Jeff Gramm. Next up was TLA, who played a more upbeat set, throwing in their new single and a Roberta Flack cover. Very good! Sarah Dougher was next, but she didn't do anything for me. It wasn't really my thing.

The Crabs ended the night with a great, great performance. I enjoyed Sarah in this outfit as opposed to her solo stuff. They started with a slow number, and then ripped into some upbeat, sugary tunes. A wondeful set, mixing slow and upbeat tunes, the Crabs had wonderful stage presence, too. They told some stories and jokes, and were able to show that they were having a good time. It made the show that much better. That, and the great turnout.
