We are in South Dakota outside of Belvedere, and Dan just took over driving. A lot has happened over the past two days, so much that it left me with no time to write. I'll start at the Cubs game on the 17th.

Once we got into Chicago, the search for decent parking near Wrigley began. After much insistance that we park on the street, Dan dropped five dollars to park in a lot. The next thing to do was to get tickets for the game, which I thought would be a hassle, but we ended up very lucky. We stopped by a ticket booth, and after being directed to another ticket booth, a guy approached us and asked us if we needed tickets for the game. We told him we did, and we got two box seat tickets for ten bones each. What we didn't realize was where those box seats were located. We walked around the stadium for a few minutes, and then headed to our seats. When we got there, our eyes almost bulged out of our heads. The seats were located directly behind the Cubs' dugout.

The game was interesting. The Cubs were down 4-0, and then came back to take a 6-5 lead, but they blew the game in typical Cubs fashion. The final was 8-6.

After the game, we headed back to a book store that we stopped at before the game to get directions to the Fireside Bowl. The Indecisives were playing at 6.30, and I had planned to get there by 6. Although I had never heard these guys before, Tracie and Amanda had good things to say about them, so I was looking forward to it. The two of them were supposed to be at the show two, but Tracie had a nasty bout with Chinese food and Amanda didn't know about the show. I enjoyed them, although I am not much of a ska fan anymore.

After the second band was over (don't recall their name), Dan and I drove back to Barat. After we got back, we met up with Amanda, who was in the process of changing rooms. The night contiuned with us hanging out with her friends Nora, Jen, and Emily. While watching Law and Order, we decided to check out a movie and eventually agreed on Scream 3. Once we got there, Dan decided to see Beyond the Mat, and the rest of us went to see Scream 3.

The movie was decent, a typical teen slasher flick, but without the gratuitous sex. Afterward, we went back to Barat and chilled in Chris's room until about 1 or 2. He was cool, eventhough he played the first Blind Melon album twice. He even offered me his last bottle of Icehouse to celebrate my twenty-first birthday. Since I didn't want to drink the entire bottle, we passed it around the room.

After leaving Chris's room, it was time for bed. Dan headed to Jen's room and I stayed with Amanda. We were awake for a couple of hours talking about everything. It was one of those rare conversations where you get deep into someone's mind and learn an infinite amount about them. Not only is Amanda an intelligent person, she had me laughing on several occasions. Unfortunately, she is a lousy pillow fighter :)

I woke up early the next morning, and after Amanda and I said our goodbyes, Dan and I quickly got ready to drive to Madison.
