Ordering and Video Quality FAQ ---------------------------------------------- - If you're interested in purchasing tapes, or have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at: octagoncito@juno.com - Each tape is $10, plus $3 per order for 1st class postage. If you're outside the U.S., shipping will cost a bit more. - Order three or more tapes at once, and shipping is free. - If you'd like to purchase several videos at once, I'd be willing to cut the price per tape. E-mail for more info. - I prefer payment online by credit card, as it speeds the transaction up by a few days. The faster I receive payment, the quicker your videos will be sent. www.paypal.com is what I'm set up for at the moment. - If you'd rather pay by mail, I'll gladly accept money orders. - Most orders will be mailed within two or three days after receiving payment, depending on the amount of hours needed to be copied. If there is a delay in getting your order completed, I'll keep you updated. - I use quality, name brand blank tapes. Maxell, Sony, TDK, JVC, etc... - I use new Toshiba and Panasonic 4 head hi-fi VCRs to record videos. - Video quality ratings are as follows: - EX = excellent, either recorded off TV, an original tape, or a near perfect copy - VG = very good, usually a 2nd or 3rd generation copy, only minor video faults are present - GD = good, color and sharpness are faded, but still plenty watchable, no major video faults - FR = fair, major video faults are present, barely watchable - PR = poor, nearly unwatchable, not worth seeing, unless it's super rare footage - Half grades, such as VG/EX, GD/VG, etc... are used to describe tapes that can be classified as either VQ. I try not to over rate the video quality of my tapes. SP mode recordings will obviously look and hold up better than EP recordings. - All videos are NTSC format.
