Attention all Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 users: IE5.5 accepts the bone. It has great difficult working with the cascading style sheets on this site, it seems. (This also affects a lot of other sites.) This site looks best under IE4-5 or Netscape Navigator 4-6. It also looks great under lynx, for us *ix fiends.
Greetings fellow Pearl Jam fan, and welcome to All That's Sacred.
At heart, All That's Sacred is nothing more than another Pearl Jam fan-based web site. However, there are a couple of little features that make this Pearl Jam site unique -- for one thing, it's a Canadian-based web site.
That means that all (or at least most) of the news and info I post here will be pertinent to all of us Canadian PJ fans out there.
On top of that, I've also included fairly complete discography and lyrics sections, both of which are combined seamlessly into one, complete package. If you've ever wanted to know where a specific PJ song can be found and what the lyrics are, odds are you'll find it here.
So what exactly can you expect from ATS? Well, I'm going to limit the site's focus to the following:
- The Discography - My discography is fairly complete...
- Lyrics - I'll do my best to provide complete and accurate lyrics, but should I screw up here and there... email me.
- News - Since I'm Canadian, I'm gonna stick to Canadian news. Besides, seeing as I'm in college and what-not, to even make an attempt at covering all of the band's going-ons would be ludicrous.
- Other - Since this is my web site, I can do whatever the hell I want. So if I wanna do something, I'm damn well gonna do it.
Now, since I'm describing what I do do here, I guess I may as well outline what I don't do here.
- Bootlegs - there are plenty of sites and people you can trade bootlegs and concerts with. I now have a rather sizeable collection of boots myself, but I'm way too busy to tree stuff or do B&Ps, so please don't ask.
- Pictures - you'll probably notice this right away, but I may as well give you the run down on the graphics situation. This site is meant to be as streamlined as possible. In other words, it's heavily text-based. So while my site doesn't look as flashy as some other sites or have as many Javascripts as some of those hopelessly defunct websites out there, I hope that the content will make up for it.
Well, I guess that's pretty much it. Let's just see how it goes from here on in.
