Single Trivia:

- 'Dead Man' was written for the film 'Dead Man Walking'. It never appeared in the film, nor on the soundtrack.
- Jeff and Ed performed 'Dead Man' at the Not In Our Name Benefit in 1998. Also performed: Cat Steven's 'Trouble', Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn's 'Face Of Love' (with Kahn himself) and an extended 'Long Road'.
- Ed wrote 'Dead Man' after watching Tim Robbins' 'Dead Man Walking'. Says Ed himself at the Not In Our Name benefit after performing 'Trouble':
I had this great talk with Tim one day and we talked about the film he was doing and... uh... right after, without even moving from where I was sitting, I wrote this song and it had "dead man walking" in the chorus. So I sent him the song and I said, 'There's this song and it's called 'Dead Man Walking',' and he said, 'Oh, I got a song from Bruce [Springsteen] and it's called 'Dead Man Walking'... I kinda gotta use his. It's a seniority thing.' So we ended up getting a b-side out of it and it's actually one of my favorite songs...
