Swamp Milkweed

Swamp Milkweed

Asclepias incarnata

You will seldom see this flower unless you go canoeing. It grows in wet, marshy places alongside slow-moving streams. The flower head is smaller than the common field Milkweed, and its leaves are narrow and pointed, and not hairy. The flowers are a soft, rosy pink.
