Athenaeum
A Place for study of the arts
In ancient Greece students of the arts gathered in the temples of Athena to exchange ideas, philosophies, and techniques.  The purpose of the Athenaeum in Ravenwynd is the same.  Here you will find things from many different traditions.  And we hope you will find something useful to you on your path.  The first contribution is a prosperity spell by Sakara-ani.
Coin of Lugh
A prosperity ritual to be performed at any time during a waxing moon.

Implements Needed:
    2 gold candles
Small purple velvet pouch filled with 5 silver coins.  (Real silver is nice, but dimes may be used.)
A single small coin shape that has been cut from tinfoil and etched with the letter "L".

On the Ritual Night

Bring all of the above to your altar wrapped in silk.  Place the gold candles, one to each side of the altar's pentacle.  Cast your circle and kneel before the altar with the silk cloth on the floor in front of you.  Center yourself, then recite:

Hail, Lugh, I call on thee:
As I ask, so it shall be.
All earned moneys shall now come to me.
More, not less, that the work that I do:
Rewards be drawn to the coin in my shoe.

Now carefully remove the items from your cloth and place them on your altar.  Place the five silver coins in a circle on the pentacle with the tinfoil coin in the center.  Recite:
Oh, mighty Lugh, with these symbols of thee,
I touch thy greatness and force.
So be it channeled into this space,
And abundance shall come unto me.
Now, light the gold candles and give as much time as you feel is needed to experience the energy within the circle.  When this time has passed, rise, place the tin foil coin in your hand and say:
It is done, My Lugh:
The Force exists.
I honor thy presence:
Now honor my wish.
Extinguish the candles and whisper, "So mote it be."  The ritual is now concluded.  Open your circle and either glue or tape the tin foil coin into the bottom inside heel of the shoe that you wear most often.  The spell may be repeated to create a coin for every pair of shoes you own.

                                            Blessed Be,
                                                Sakara-Ani
