I was born and raised the Fresno, CA. I moved from there in 1969 and migranted to Tucson, AZ for a year to work for a large Engineering Corp. After that, Penny and I got married and we moved here to Denver in 1970 were we've lived ever since. Some of you have heard that I was paralyzed. In 1968, I was temporarily paralyzed from mononucleosis and a virus infection. The doctors had a big name for it, they referred to is as, "Acute Idiopathic Polyneuritis", which means they had no idea what the hell I had. I was out of commission for about 3 weeks, but thats history now! Ok, now let me jump ahead a few years.
In 1987, I was layed off due to lack of work, but actually I didn't mind. I've been a "househusband" ever since. I don't mind the role reversals, Penny working, in the optical industry for 27 years, and me doing the domestic stuff, I sorta like it. I enjoy cooking, several of my recipes can be found on SirPJ's page so feel free to try them and let me know what you think of them. Cleaning is not fun but it still has to be done...*S*. As for hobbies, I've had plenty, from the joy designing homes to acting like a kid and getting involved into the Radio Control craze a few years back, but now that has changed to enjoying the computer and the internet. Well folks, thats enough about me, now heres a little on Penny.
She was born in Johnson City, TN and her and her family moved to California when she was about 10 years old. We went to different high schools so we didn't meet until college. I saw her and it guess I was a little taken back by her because I popped the question only 4 days after we met. We tied the knot in August 1970. After our daughter was born, she began working in the optical industry and has stayed there ever since. As for hobbies, she enjoys reading and for the last 10 years, she's been involved in bowling even to the point of joining the local association and is the current sgt at arms. Now, to our one and only!
You've seen her picture, can you believe she was born premature? Yup, that's right, in April 1971, but to look at her now, you sure can't tell it. Growing up in Denver wasn't easy for her since Penny and I both worked and Steph went through some bad times. She was a great student until the peer pressure nearly destroyed her. But now, almost 10 years later she made it, she did it on her own. She is now married and lives in Torrance, CA with her husband, Joe. He's a great guy and she deserves the best. They both worked for Wherehouse Entertainment until recently, whereupon she changed jobs and went to work for another company.
And no folks, no grand kids are in the offing, not quite yet!!!
