A Few Quick Tips

Using this tool, you must first print the front of your CD Insert (front), then reload the sheet of paper into your printer the same way as the first time, then choose from an option under "FRONT INSERT / BACK SIDE".

You can choose between a few options, under each option you need to print the front insert and the back insert on seperate pages. You can , however, turn the page over after printing, and print on the back as well. This works well for the front insert, and is of course really cool for the back insert if the CD tray is a clear one.

One limitation of these features is that any images larger than 325 (height) and 325 (width) will get trimmed to fit the insert, or the image may not even get inserted. My best suggestion is to simply try an image and see how it looks.

Another limitation, any printing on the back insert is going to be sideways instead of top to bottom... unfortunate, but true.

Keep in mind that when printing on both sides of your paper, it is best to allow the ink to dry on the first side before printing the second side.

To get the insert to fit into the jewel case properly, you will need to experiment with cutting the border out, you may, or may not need to trim the border... experiment to find what works best for your printer.

I've found that using colored paper works pretty well, and adds some color to your inserts without wasting buttloads of ink...

FRONT INSERTS

OPTION ONE - This option allows you to choose an image, and will simply expand the image to the proper size for the insert. This option works well with an actual album cover image(for example).

OPTION TWO - This option allows you to choose a background color, and insert an image that will be centered on the insert. Keep in mind this option will not resize the image, so the image must be less than 325 x 325 or it will crop the picture, or may not even insert the image.

OPTION THREE - This option allows you to choose a background color, and insert text and text color that will be centered on the insert.

OPTION FOUR - This option allows you to choose a background image, and insert text and text color that will be centered on the insert.

OPTION FIVE - This option allows for the input of an ablbum cover, and shrinks it to a smaller size. You can also input the album title, artist, and year of the recording.

OPTION SIX - Same as previous option , but this allows for the input of TWO ablbum covers... in the event you're putting two albums on one disc.

FRONT INSERTS / BACK SIDE

Keep in mind that when using an image with the next three options, you must first flip (WebFX) the image or it will be upside down on your insert.

OPTION ONE / BACK SIDE - Background image, same as option four above.

OPTION TWO / BACK SIDE - Inserts an image and enlarges to cover entire side of insert.

OPTION THREE / BACK SIDE - Choose a background color, and insert an image to be centered.

BACK INSERTS

These options are for printing the insert that goes in the back of the jewel case. You can print one side, then turn over the papaer and reload using these same options again to print on both sides (if you have a clear CD tray).

OPTION ONE - Background color, text color.

OPTION TWO - Background URL, text color.

OPTION THREE - Background color, plus a text area which allows room for writing HTML.

OPTION FOUR - Background URL, plus a text area which allows room for writing HTML.

OPTION FIVE - Background URL for spine and back of insert, plus a text area which allows room for writing HTML.
