BRINDLE, Lillian E. (1899 - 1984)

Operated Hampton Beach Hotel

HAMPTON , N.H., -- Lillian E. (Brindle) Brindamour, 85, of 209 Winnacunnet Road, died Sunday at Doctor’s Hospital, Hollywood, Fla. After a short illness.

Mrs. Brindamour was a winter resident of Florida the past 25 years.

She was born in Haverhill March 7, 1899, the daughter of George and Florence Z. (Girrior) Brindle. Mrs. Brindaemour [Brindamour] and her husband Charles P. Brindamour, who died in 1969, owned and operated the former Marilyn Montreal Hotel at Hampton Beach of 16 years prior to their retirement in 1963.

She attended Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton, and Or Lady of the Little Flower Church, Holywood.

She is survived by two sons, Robert L. Brindamour, Hampton, and Charles P. Brindamour Jr., North Hampton; three daughters, Olive M. Larviere, Hollywood Fla., New Hampshire State Representative Beverly A. Hollingworth and Joan Maietta, both of Hampton; a brother, Richard Brindle, Haverhill; five sisters, Doris McGowan, East Hartford, Ct., Ann Capo, Seabrook Beach, Alice Legare, Salem, Irene Samossette, Fort Lauderdale Fla. and Helen Pearson, Mobile, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A 10 a.m. mass will be celebrated Wednesday at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton.

Friends may call at the Ronald A. Remick Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, (U.S. Route 1) Hampton today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Haverhill.
