- 5 quart pot
- 2 - 28oz cans crushed tomatoes
- 3 small cans tomato paste plus 3 cans of water
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 8 oz can or 1 lb fresh mushrooms
- 1 lge green pepper / cut up
- 6 cloves garlic minced / 2 tbsps jar minced garlic
- 1 med onion / chopped
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tsp sugar

instructions
- Saute garlic, onion, green pepper, & mushrooms in olive oil
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste & water
- Add seasonings and bring to boil
- Cover / simmer 3 hours
- Add meatballs / cover / simmer 1 more hour
- If necessary, add small amounts of water
- This sauce freezes very well with or without meatballs
