The biology is the most rapidly developing natural science of the 21 century. The speed with which the discoveries in the area of the modern molecular biology are made is comparable with the speed of the computer technology development.
At present the biology is probably in its most intriguing phase - the scientists are on the verge of discovering the secrets of life. Being stimulating and interesting, the avalanches of information related to biology are also of a potential threat. Today, practicing biologists are much more than all biologists who lived in the previous centuries and they produce half of million new articles every year.
In this ocean of information the students in the High School of Natural Sciences have trusted and experienced guides. The students who chose biology as their area of specialization can rely on seven biology teachers, four of them with the highest professional certificate. Those willing to be prepared for using a specialized literature in other languages can participate in the supplementary classes of biology in French and German. In addition to the classroom education, students and teachers take part in international and national projects concerning environmental issues. Some of those projects are SEMEP, G.R.E.E.N., BLUE DANUBE and AGENDA 21. The students studying biology, foreign languages and computers have broad perspectives for realization in life.
