Slipping Away
Slipping away into a world of peace,
Where my mind is at rest and all thoughts do cease.
This world is a place to no longer fear,
The people outside that I do not want near.
My own little world inside of my head,
Where I have no fears or nothing to dread.
Now I know you will think I am trying to hide,
But I am tired of the knots I feel inside.
So slipping once in a while is okay,
If only for an hour or so once a day.
It's my time to try to forget all my fears,
And to take time to rid myself of the tears.
Sometimes I want nothing more than to stay,
In my world known as Slipping Away.
For in this world I can be me,
Hidden away so others can't see.
And then it is time to close the door,
And come back to a world I fear so much more
