From The Inside Out
From the inside I feel like nobody,
From the outside I am who you want to see.
From the inside I try to hide away,
The feelings I carry every day.
From the inside I can hide from you,
All the things that make me blue.
From the inside you don't know me at all,
From the outside I will never fall.
From the inside I live daily through meds,
From the outside you see a complainer instead.
From the inside I need to fight each day,
To make my feelings go away.
For when you care not if you wake,
The outside looks like a big mistake.
So from the inside I need to want to thrive,
In order to keep the outside alive.
Maybe now you see a part of me,
That I try to make history.
