A Daughter
A daughter was out of the question for me,
For I have a blood problem called anti -c.
When my first son was taken straight away,
I knew there was a problem but they didn't
want to say,
He was taken to an incubator with patches
on his eyes,
And every time I looked at him I heard his
little cries.
Before to long the Dr. came to us and said,
That if he was born a girl he probably
would be dead.
Within a day or two he fought the problem off,
But in our Hearts we knew that one child
was not enough.
So four years later we had another son,
And then again the blood problems had begun.
So knowing how I wanted at least three
children or more,
We knew together this was something we needed
to explore.
We knew that God Blessed us with two wonderful
baby boys,
And everyday I looked at them they filled my
heart with joy.
I often think that God was preparing me for life,
And for all the problems we have had as husband
and wife.

Listen To Your Child
Someday take the time to hear what your
children have to say,
They know more than we think they do in
their special way.
Sometimes we think the little ones haven't
Got a clue,
Until we watch them carefully and see how
They see too.
A child learns what they see and sometimes
It is not good.
For life for them can be unstable and
misunderstood.
You see our children learn what they see and
Also can be hurt,
When we as parents drag each other through the
Mud and dirt.
They know this as not being wrong, for this
Is all they see.
When we hurt each other it is our children
Who pay the price.
And when you look at it from their eyes
You will see who paid the price.
For if we teach our children hate, that is all
they will see,
And anger will fill their Hearts, for an eternity.
Even if your child is in bed and you think
Their asleep,
Often they will be listening, trying not to make
a peep.
Know this in your heart my friends and try to
understand.
That when you hurt each other it's your child
who becomes out of hand.
