Sea Surface Full of Rimbaud

  (after W. Stevens)

For every point of view, a new
Rimbaud; as many he's as cheeses,
hundreds in one shop alone.

For every perception, a sharp
Rimbaud; as many hims as hymns,
rigorous, vigorous, constant puzzle.

For every biography, this guy
Rimbaud shows different dots
and spots and speculation murder.

For every person, anthropomorphic
Rimbaud poisons dogs, trades slaves,
absinthe, qat, into the unknown.

For every facet, facetious boy
Rimbaud remains untranslatably,
translucently beautiful shit.
