Hi, We're P.o.G.o.!

P.o.G.o. is a six-piece ska/punk band out of Denver, Colorado. We've been together for a while and have played shows with great bands such as The Facet and Mail Order Children. We've been told we sound like an odd mix between Dead Milkmen and Suicide Machines. But our influences range from The Toasters, Laurel Atkins, and Judge Dread to Spazz, Bloodhound Gang, and even Atom and His Package. We are (in all our glory):

Christos: lead vocals, ladies man, crackhead

Stagg: guitar, vocals, mohawk

Devin: bass, bidi smoking, liquor drinking

Josh: drums, pyschotic tendancies, chicken

Aaron: trumpet, vocals, skittle boy

Jared: trombone, lives across the street from Aaron

We have a lot of songs, some more popular than others. Here's a list of all of our songs (lyrics can be found at the lyrics page... most of 'em anyways):

More Punk Than You

Bessie In A Blender

High On Life

Sap

The First Time

Crotch O-Smell

Teeny Bopper Heaven *new*

1,2, 3rd Times A Charm *new*

Mxpx Girl *new*

I Need A Job *new*

Plus, we got some new songs in the works, so come to a show to see those. Should be great fun.

... and yes, we do covers. Don't get pissed at us, what band doesn't cover songs? Anyways, here's the few songs we do cover:

Punk Rock Academy (by Atom and His Package)

Whoomp, There It Is (Tag Team)

Doomsday (Mephiskapheles)

Wannabe (Spice Girls)

P.o.G.o. has been known to play highly-energetic, moshing, skanking, get your ass outta that chair and into the pit kinda shows. We hope that you'd like to come check us out someday!

The Fairy Tale of P.o.G.o. (aka the fuckin biography)

So you wanna know the story behind P.o.G.o., eh? Well, here's what happened:

Once upon a time in the magical land of Colorado lived a boy named Stagg. Stagg had a struggling punk band called The Heist. One week before The Heist's very first show, the singer quit the band. Stagg, all hasty and worried-like, sought out Christos (a long time friend) to take the singer's spot. However, two days before The Heist's show, the singer came back therefore leaving Christos in the dust. Not long after that, The Heist broke up.

Needless to say, that didn't stop Christos and Stagg from wanting to start a new band. They recruited drummer Jamie, and decided to have Stagg sing and be lead guitarist with Christos on rythym guitar and backing vocals. After one practice, they decided that wasn't kosher and made Christos the vocalist and had Stagg be the only guitarist. Unfortunately, Jamie was sent away to rehab around that time, and the band never heard from him again.

By this time, the band had found bassist Devin, and had been asked to play a show with the infamous Mail Order Children and The Facet. In desperate need of a drummer, the band, now called P.o.G.o., auditioned many drummers and finally stuck with a young whipper-snapped named Josh.

P.o.G.o. played many fun loving shows after that, but strived for something more. They decided a horn section would do the trick. They looked and looked and finally found Brian, Travis, and Dan at Colorado State University (where Christos attends college). But Dan had to leave the band right away on his own circumstances.

Soon after that, they realized that Travis and Brian might not work out due to the fact that they were always busy with school and what-not. So P.o.G.o. recruited Aaron (of Forth Yeer Freshman), Marshall, Jared, and Richard as they're newest horn section. Richard soon was kicked out of the band for various reasons and Marshall joined the Navy, but still leaving Aaron and Jared for the horns.

Now P.o.G.o., Denver's original "pyscho-ska" is ready to rock Colorado's socks-off happily ever after.

The End.
