I'd like to tell how I knew of Tracy... When I was younger (around 14) I only listen to English songs. At that time, Fong Fei Fei and Teresa Teng were the 2 famous Chinese singers.

I have a friend then who was a dancer with Neptune Theatre (Hai Yaan). He knew Tracy when she was a compere there then. He told me that even after she's gotten famous and left Neptune, she never stopped and say hello when she bumped into him at Lucky Plaza.

Another friend of mine, Joseph Steven (I've lost contact with him, but recently heard that he's living in London). On day he was very excited and told me that he's doing backing for Tracy's "Love Me Tender". By that time I've heard of Tracy but haven't really hear any of her song. I did get a copy of that cassette after it was released but I was listening too hard for my friend's Joseph voice to notice Tracy's.

Not long after that, I left for Europe. It was only after living in Europe for a few years that I started wanting to listen to Chinese Music.

Of course I go for Fong Fei Fei and Teresa Teng. However, one day when I was visiting a Taiwaness friend living here, he was playing the tape "Good-day-my love". I listended to the whole cd and I loved it.

I didn't realize that it was Tracy, because she was known as Huang Lu Yi then. Since then, I've been collecting all her old works.

My sister's husband's sister claim that she knows Tracy's husband. I am hoping that ( if that's true ) she'd introduce me to him and then her in the future.
