Stompin’ Harvey & The Fast Wreckers play primitive swamp blues rock ‘n’ roll, sort of in the style of the John Spencer Blues Explosion but a lot more basic. The title track is particularly uninspired but Love Has Mercy/Shaking Time is a better effort. Unfortunately, I find that this type of music loses its appeal quite quickly and just because the music is basic, doesn’t mean that the production has to be.
