Ladies, May We Introduce Ourselves…. is the debut release from suavely dressed Sydneysiders, The Intercontinental Playboys, who have been compared to both the Cramps and Roky Erickson and may I add such bands as The Wailers and Sonics. Such comparisons aren’t unfounded either, with their reverb-drenched guitars, ‘spooky’ vocals and songs titles like Crawling Out Of My Skin and Creature Of The Night. However, it’s the excellent production (courtesy of ex-Lipstick Killer and garage fanatic, Mark Taylor) on Ladies, May We Introduce Ourselves that makes The Intercontinental Playboys stand out from the myriad of trashy garage bands going around.
