The Stoneage Hearts are a side project for members of The Finkers, Hands Of Time and P76, that finds them combining garage rock with classic power pop in an infectious combination that will have your feet tapping and your hips shaking in next to no time. The production (on a four track Yeah!) really suits the songs as everything’s left really raw and spontaneous while still remaining powerful – check out the Who-like ending to Two Timin’ Gurl for proof. They also throw in some cool covers by The Zippers and The Beat as well as the standard Stranded On A Dateless Night. If you’re a fan of classic Australian garage-rock (ie early Hoodoo Gurus, Stems, Lime Spiders or Early Hours) then make sure you tune in to The Stoneage Hearts.
