The Ladies of Pretty Girls Incorporated would like to address a topic that was brought up by one of our guestbook entries. If you would have a look at our history, you will see that Pretty Girls Inc. was started by the wives and girlfriends of Kappa Alpha Psi members. Even though PGI is not an official auxiliary of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., we still support the Kappas. We are not "whores", however many people give us that label. It is sad when people are judgemental about organizations when they know very little about them. When the National Pan-Hellenic Council Sororities begun their existance, they had to start out as interest groups of God-fearing women and struggled against all odds of uniting women, promoting education, leadership and community service. Over time, they have received the respect that they have today. The Ladies of PGI possess the same talents however many people give us the label of the "whore" because we spend large amounts of time with the Kappas and we are not classified as a "national sorority". It seems that the only thing that has changed between the early 1900's and the present is that our own people do not like to see another person become successful. Usually the "playa hating" starts when a person sees someone else who is successful and the person him/herself is intimidated - leading to that person finding any form or fashion to eliminate "the competition." We are not the only victims of the "playa hating". You would find Sigma Doves, Iota Hearts, Omega Pearls, Alpha Angels, MIAKAs, Delta Beauxs, Zeta Knights, and Sigma RHOmeos are receiving the same amount of "heat" like us. During membership of these organizations; everyone learns about the Greek Alphabet, bonding between sisters and brothers, parliamentary procedures, and support the NPHC Organzations and other organizations that lead to the betterment of our communities. Please let God himself judge us and pay closer attention to your own faults - instead of other people's difficulties. Do not deny any Non-Greek Organization from obtaining membership of a NPHC Organization nor mistreat them. If you do, you will be losing people who has the potential to improve your NPHC Organization and make the world a better place to live in! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to read our address and may the Lord continue to bless and keep you in your journeys.
