Happy (late) Birthday to Kevin Young. (september 18th)

Supposedly David stayed home because he was pissed he couldn't play.

Last night's Montreal show with David Usher at MusiquePlus was not an 'enligne', it was rather a small intimate and very laid back show with about 80 people attending.. The set was similar to a living
room, with live musicians.

For some time people have been asking why moist doesn't release their albums in Europe. Today i have an anwser. Releasing in Europe would mean they would have to tour there, and reality is that touring in Europe is very (very) expensive.

Well i'm back, not that i think you really care, but waste will once again be back to its "normal" updating habits.
As predicted, Moist performed in Regina, SK (Kings Park Speedway) on August 9th; along side bands such as: Fastball, Wide Mouth Mason, Treble charger and Matthew
Good Band; as part of Wolfest.
A simple reminder of the Summersault dates Moist will be playing:
Aug. 29 in Quebec City at the Agora,
Sept. 3 in St. John's NF at Bowring
Park, and
Sept. 5 in Shediac NB at Shediac Can Am Speedway/Parlee Beach.
I don't have the dates of David's tour, when i do i'll post them.
Moist is reported to have finished the songwriting for their 3rd album, with hopes of releasing it next year.
Moist will be heading for the studio for demos as soon as their summer touring finishes, this is to be followed by so more studio session in which they will attempt to record this new album.
David will be giving an secretive intimate concert sponsored by Musique Plus (known for their infamous slogans: secret location, secret time) and MusicWorld. 10 winners will be selected.
David's new single is rumored to be St. Lawrence River.
David's latest single, Jesus Was My Girl has fallen 5 spots on Edge 102's Thursday 30 and is now sitting
at #22. Jesus Was My Girl is #17 on MusiquePlus's "Decompte".
If you wondered about a certain incedent concerning Moist's drummer at a certain summer festival, in a certain town etc (notably, Paul crucifying a friend named Paulie during the Foo-Fighters set at Barries Edgefest in July) you can read an article about it from chart here.
You can view Edgefest pictures taken by Andrea K. at the Musique Plus site.
The August issue of Chart Magazine features pictures of Edgefest 98.
- They hope to return to the studio in November (hopefully in Montreal) after some more writting.
-"We're going to find out the real direction of the
sound when we get a producer. The
way that the demos are laid out, they're very bare
bones. We did a lot of it at Mark
place. We wanted to strip it down
and get really basic, so the producer can hear the
song, not necessarily our interpretation of it." [quote from Paul Wilcox]
a huge thanks to Karen Bliss @ Jam! for all the info above.
The musicians did a run through of the entire album with the exception of mood
song. Last night's musicians were: kevin young, another kevin
on cello, guitarist, byron wong on bass, jeff pearce also played
bass on St. Lawrence river, and a percussionist as well.
It was taped yesterday evening (wednesday sept. 16th) and will be AIRED ON MUSIQUEPLUS OCTOBER 17TH AT 8h00 PM.
thanks to Andrea K and a source who wishes to remain unknown.
