review
Well to tell the truth i'm probably going to have an un-fair perspective on last night's show. First of all, i didn't have to pay for a ticket, actually i didn't have a ticket i had a sticker pass, not all access but backstage and entrance. We arrived late, missed about 5 bands, first band we got to see was Econoline Crush, then we met Jeff, went to eat and came back (all because we had the sticker...). Jeff gave us little tab things which meant we could see the show from up on the stage (very cool). The Foo-Fighters we're...um..interesting to look at. The Drummer seemed to be getting quite a workout. David Grohl had a fixation on screaming loud high shrieks. All and all they were pretty good. Green Day came after, the show was amazing. Just a little mention of some things happening, along with the use of the word Fuck more times then i've ever written my name, Bilie Joe Armstrong called for the full legalization of drugs during a break, a member of the pit got to play guitar with the band, we witness a little strip show to reveal some rather skimppy leopart print underwear, and the torching of the drum set. Moist had a rather tough job ahead of them with the act of follow. More fans, appeared for Moist then any other band. They sounded really good, the sound of the trumpet from creature greated them on stage. For those of you wondering David was sporting his blue pants (again) and he wore them again in Montreal. I was watching from the stage so i missed most of Mark's faces, but David acted very very nice. No picking on Jeff, no dancing on Kevin's keyboards etc, perhaps it was the fact his parents were there, so was Jeff's mom. A few things that were rather odd, they played 'break her down' with the cello and some improve or perhaps something I couldn't recall. The last song, 'Tangerine' was played with 'Jesus was my girl' and then back again to 'Tangerine'. They played a very good set but nothing out of the ordinary. The Tea Party played well, it calmed the already exhausted crowd. Two reviews of the show can be found in Tuesday's and Wednesday's (the headliners) Citizen.
