The second single from David Usher's Little Songs is "Jesus was my girl". David should
be heading to the Las Vegas desert in May to shoot this video. He is hoping to squeeze in
some solo performances this summer.
Since it's release on March 17th, it has sold more than 49,000 copies and is approaching
gold.

Wednesday, April 22nd 1998
A new moist song will be featured on the soundtrack from the upcoming movie
"Brokedown Palace" [or Two Girls (working title)]. The movie, produced by 20th
Century Fox, is about two women who are arrested for smuggling while vacationing in
Thailand. It's directed by Jonathan Kaplan, produced by Adam Fields and written by
David Arata. The cast includes (in alphabetical order): Kate Beckinsale, Claire Danes (in
the role of Alice), Amanda De Cadenet, Daniel Lapaine, Lou Diamond Phillips and Bill
Pullman. Production started in November of 1997, they are still filming [in Manila,
Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand] but the film should be released in the States in
December of 1998.

David will be 32 on the 24th of April. Jeff will also be having a birthday, he will be
turning 31 on the 25th.
Sunday, April 12th 1998
Jeff confirmed that Moist will be at Edgefest this summer.... They will only be playing 3
shows: Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa.
David is the only one who's freedom is um...limited. The poor guy can't even take Le
Metro, people i don't think anyone likes to be confined to a box. Stop pestering him...
The new album will be out in January.

Be sure to pick up a copy of 'Watch' [free magazine] at any Music World location for an
article on either Moist and/or David.
The guys are resting and writing for the next album to be released some time in the next
year. So far, they're written half the songs of the desired 30
David confirmed early this week that they are seriously thinking over playing at Edgefest.

April 15 - The BEAR, Ottawa Radio station,
presents a Rock Auction in support of CHEO
at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Byward
Market. Tickets $35 each at either Hard
Rock Cafe location. Doors prizes include a
trip for two to London, England to visit the
original Hard Rock Cafe location. Up for
grabs include signed items from Aerosmith,
The Smashing Pumpkins, Elton John, Phil
Collins and much more [supposedly moist]

On March 26, Moist was featured on the
Canadian drama Traders [Global, 10pm
Thursday] Gasoline was heard on a teenage
kid's Discman [who was coincidentally
sporting a Moist cap]. His father yells out "If
you keep listening to that crap you'll go deaf."
Resurrection was also heard playing at a bar
later on. Although the credits mentioned
Gasoline and Tangerine.
Monday, March 23th 1998
MOIST, ok well not exactly, won a Juno for
best video [gasoline], actually the winner was
director Javier (also responsible for Forest
Fire).
Tuesday, March 17th 1998
David Usher's solo
album, Little Songs, is released today.
Also released today is the 30 hour famine benefit C.D. Moist's Leave it Alone is featured.
Go and buy it, all the
money goes to World Vision and their fight
against hunger. Did you know 35 000

Fire is already getting airplay mainly on pop
stations, and the video is on rotation at Much
Music and Musique Plus. The video was shot
last week in Mexico City by director
