MusiquePlus is having a contest. The prize: tickets to a secret show in Montreal some time in September with David Usher (for Little Songs).

Newsletter #15 is typed. See site update for more site news.

According to the Editorial section, Moist are working in Mark's apartment, on demos for most of the summer (although it seems they have time at the present moment for holidays.. not that they don't deserve it.). The objective is to head into the studio come fall.

Graeme MacDonal (homme de guerre/production manager) and Stan Wardle (tour manager and harmonica player) are leaving moist and all of you.. The loyal crew members will be surely missed.

this again, should not be here as it is not moist news.. but, waste made it in the newsletter we are in Andrea's top 10.

Stuff i forgot to say last time, the guys are experimenting with new instrutments (such as the trumpet) on the new album.

The board of Directors has been chosen, Shotgun, Silva, Jenn and Linda will become your slaves...

If you are part of the Fan Club you should have recieved some new stuff. Including, a new fan club cd (version 2), with my conditioning, a demo of a song called sister, a harmonica version of gasoline, the thai version of Leave It Alone and another outtake session. Also included were 3 postcards (2 small, 1 big) and of course the newsletter 15.

A studio magazine reported that David Usher was re-mastering his album, Little Songs to add another track for the international release.
thanks to trickster for this info

Mark Makowy is now married. He wed last Saturday (July 11th) in England, a woman named Nicola.

For those of you in the West, it's an explication for the lack of moist at EDGEfest.

I've added a few pictures, David sheet 5 and Moist sheet 3. Some are of EDGEfest, others from live events.

In some really old news, Did you know Moist's single "Push" is no. 85 in the country's top 100 singles?

In the comming days, Waste will introduce a co-op sort of feel to the site. More information to follow. If you want me to send you info on this write me.

I've gotten lots of positive response towards building a "fan corner" as suggested in the Waste questionnaire. If you have any contributions please send them to me.

for all the confusion about Paul nailing a guy to a board...
Dan "The Man" is a friend of Paul and Stan from St. Catherine's and goes around to rock shows and stuff and lets the talent nail things to him and other Jim Rose sideshow circus-like stuff. Paul nailed him to a board and Dave Grohl pulled a patch cable through his tongue at Edgefest in Toronto.
a big thanks to Mark Swierszcz for clearing that up.

Moist/David got cut from Tuesday's CFMT Edgefest report but not to fear, it seems they really will be on E Now this Saturday (CTV 5 p.m.)

There's an article about Edmonton's Edgefest, unfortunately Moist wasn't there but i'm still putting it up, it's rather entertaining.
The sharps and flats

Tuesday, July 7th 1998

A simple reminder, CFMT's Nightlife will be broadcasting something moist related (11:27 p.m.).

Entertainment Now (CTV, 5 p.m. Saturday) is broadcasting something moist related also (11-07-98).
thanks to Silvery and Shotgun for this info.

Monday, July 6th 1998

Tuesday night at 11:27pm, Nightlife on CFMT will be broadcasting something withDavid or Moist at EDGEfest.
thanks to Moistlvr for this info.

Ok, there something going around the net, i'm not sure if i get this right but here goes...
During Foo Fighters' set (in Barrie), David Grohl talked about Paul (as in Wilcox) nailing some guy, later to be determined as a friend from St. Catherines who owns a tattoo parlour, to a bord using 8 surigcal steel rods/nails on the guys hand/wrist skin. CFNY did an interview with Paul and David after the incident. David claimed he was supposed to do the nailing, but that he chickened out at the last minute, because the thought of it made *it shrink*.
thanks to a bunch of people on The Official Moist Towelette Guestbook/Message Board espacially Trickster and andi

rumor: Jeff has a nipple ring.
thanks to everyone who told me, too many to name.

I've made a little survey so if you have a little time to waste (pardon the pun) please come fill it out. the waste questionnaire.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

I'm looking for your edgefest reviews and setlists (of Moist), please send them to me.

In an interview yesterday on MusiquePlus, Mark and David said a couple of things concerning the new album. They've written about 15-16 songs, 10 of which have already been demoed. We can expect it in the new year, spring, summer, when ever it feels like coming out. There is less pressure for this album, they've passed the sophomore jinx. They're trying knew stuff, it takes time because some of it doesn't work and they have to try something else.

They also mentioned that they might be playing some new stuff and/or some of David's Little Song's stuff.

Some setlist and reviews should be up in the coming days.

Also the Moist site Face-Off ended last night.
