As reported MusicPlus played Jesus Was My Girl last night. Here
is a review from SuperJon...
Sex, golf, and cars. What else does a video need? What else does life
need? After a delay of a couple weeks Jesus Was My Girl finally made
its
way to the video stations. Shot in Los Vegas, the video is somewhat
slow
in tempo, which goes along perfectly with the slowness of the song.

this information.
i'm not sure this is confirmed, but here goes... Moist may be playing 2 dates of the Our
Lady Peace's summer concert,Summersault 1998. The two september dates rumored
are: Bowring Park, St. John's Newfoundland and Shediac Canam Speedway [Parlee
Beach].
I'll try to find more information [tickets, bands playing (you can expect Garbage), and
more dates], if you have any feel free to e-mail
me.
the following information is taken from The Ottawa Citizen, for the time bands are
scheduled to perform at, listen to your local radio station [The Bear] for a complete
listing, MOIST is playing from 8:35pm to 9:50pm about.
Besides the music, the festival boasts an autograph tent, an HMV tent and a vendor
village, with assorted local vendors peddling their wares. Gates open at noon with the
first band, The Inbreds, hitting the stage at about 12:45 p.m. Most bands will play sets of
about 20 to 30 minutes while the five headliners (The Tea Party, Moist, Green Day, and
The Foo Fighters on the main stage and The Watchmen on the second stage) will play 35
to 50 minutes.
Performances are staggered so bands will not be competing for attention. However,
many bands have only five minutes to get off the stage while the next band sets up, so
some scheduling irregularites seem likely.
Bands are scheduled to play in the following order: The Inbreds (second stage), Sandbox
(second stage), New Meanies (second stage), Bif Naked (main stage), The Killjoys
(second stage), Econoline Crush (main stage), Tripping Daisy (second stage), Sloan (main
stage), The Watchmen (second stage), Foo Fighters (main stage), Green Day (main
stage), Moist (main stage), The Tea Party (main stage).
Tickets are $35, available at the Civic Centre Box Office or 237-3800, or
1-800-361-4595 to order by phone. Surcharges may apply.
Usher minus Moist a first-class act
Little Songs three stars and a half
David Usher (Nettwerk)
It's not likely that Moist front man Usher will perform many of these songs during the
band's Monday appearance at Edgefest, at least not in the form presented here.
This solo effort is a quiet, mostly acoustic collection of songs Usher figured could not be
adapted for his hardrocking bandmates. Usher peppers these quiet songs with the odd
keyboard, drum manchine or horn, but it's mostly him, his guitar and voice.
With a little bit of extra bass and backbeat, these low-key songs could easily be
rockified. The main reason they haven't been is that this is the best batch of songs Usher
has written.
The lightly funky Forestfire, and the moody ruminations such as St. Lawrence River
and Trickster, have irresistible, understated hooks. Lyrically, Usher is still baring his
tortured, pessimistic soul, something that was well suited to Moist's grunge-based music.
In time, this stripped-down approach will serve Usher better. His solo material will
age better than the stuff he cranks out during his day job.
this from the MusiquePlus site:

The video starts off with two people golfing in at an airport (and ends
the
same way). David is seen sporatically through out, usually looking at
something off camera. He sports the new shorter hair that was rumoured,
and the a very spotty looking goatee. NOTE TO DAVID: Shave. Either
that
or let it grow in fully before the next video... or at least don't allow
any close ups. We then flip to a girl (a nice looking one too btw)
walking out of garage, and two VERY pale looking shirtless guys on the
other side stop working on their car and look across... staring
actually.
David's seen high up in the mountains briefly, then we go to an overhead
of
a couple in bed... the woman staring up at the camera covered in white
sheets, while the man, uncovered and wearing blue boxers, has his arm
around her waste and his leg on top of hers, asleep. David is seen
standing outside a large blueish-green bowl in a wall... much like you
would see at an aquarium place like Sea World where you look underwater.
Girls swim by every now and then.... and then we see David cruising
around
in a car, looking at chicks. David appears outsid ethe couple in bed's
room, and we flip between the girl and the pale guys, along with ceratin
other "characters" in the video...
In case you're wondering... the word "fuckings" was bleeped, and that
was all.
