PAUL WILCOX QUITS MOIST
What Paul calls a "mortality reality check" is what led the drummer leave the band after suffering a back injury in August.
He may appear in a film by the same director as 'the Graveller'.
Please read this article on the subject on Jam!
David Usher is working on his second solo album. David and his wife, Sandra, went to Thailand with MuchMusic and Warchild. Please follow the link to know more.
please visit war2music.
Rest the the band, Mark, Jeff and Kevin are all writing their own material or collaborating with other artists on projects.
The band posted this on their site www.moist.ca yesterday:
Paul Wilcox has decided to take a rest from music for a while, to give his back time to heal. There are a bunch of things he is looking forward to getting involved in. For more info on this, check out his interview at the Jam! website. The rest of us wish Paul all the best...

I know i have not updated in what seems to be months... I disapeared for a while. I went for a trip. Canada is very beautiful and ... big. How many hours can one person remain in a train seat for? (e-mail moi if you want an answer...)
ON the moist front, for the exception of everything i missed nothing else is happening. There is some talk around McGill (Faculty of Arts) to get MOist to play for something or an other but that could just be ideas or things that are actually being worked out (i don't know, i didn't ask).

2000
There is a new concert date added for July 30th in St-John's Newfoundland. The show will take place during the George Street Festival.
July is going to be a busy month for us, starting this weekend with
three shows. We are hoping the Air Canada pilot strike won't
strand us in Winnipeg, but we will get back for the show the next
night in for erie somehow.

OTTAWA SHOW CANCELLED YET AGAIN
It appears that some power in the cosmos is intent on preventing us from playing Ottawa this year.
The Soundwaves Waterfront Festival has been cancelled, due to unforscene factors that sometimes arise when a new venture is being risked.
We applaude the organizers for trying to make it happen, and hope that they will have better luck next year...
for info on refunds etc.check out http://www.crosswinds.net/~soundwaves/index.html
We are looking at a few alternatives now for us to play Ottawa,
with the hope that we will be able to play there sometime this
summer. There are many more shows to be booked, so keep checking this page for updates.

a note from www.moist.ca...
Our summer is starting to take shape, with dozens of shows all
over canada and the u.s. We have summer shows booked in
most major Canadian cities, and we will be also participating in
many American summer festival dates.
Also, we just finished digging through the archives, finding four
unreleased songs for the new Moist fanclub disc (vol. 4). The
disc will feature the version of Comes and Goes that has been
popping up on Canadian radio, as well as three older, unreleased
songs. This disc (as well as vol. 1, 2 and 3) is only available to
members of the moist fanclub. email moistfc@nettwerk.com for info on how to join...
Kevin Young has agreed to come and chat with Moist fans this Saturday (April 22, 2000) at 6 PM eastern time, at the Official Moist Page chat room.
There is a birthday card for you to sign, if you wish, here. It is Jeff and David's birthdays this month and the card comes from Andrea a the OMP.

Well after a long absence WASTE is back, up and running.
The band has announce some of their new summer tour dates, more will be added later.
April 13, 2000 Edmonton, AB at Nait Show (students only)
April 14 , Calgary, AB at Sait Show (students only)
April 16 , Banff, AB at Wild Bills
May 18, Los Angeles, CA at Roxy
May 21, Cayuga, ON at Cayuga Speedway
There is a new version of Comes and Goes getting airplay in most Canadian cities.
When MOIST was in the studio a couple months ago they, as Jeff's puts it "blasted off" a version of that song that sounds more like the way the band plays it onstage.
When the single was given to radio stations they decided to give them both versions, and now it seems that many have taken to playing the new one. The new
version will probably appear on a fanclub disc sometime soon.
The new issue of Chart Magazine features an article written by kevin, about life as part of the moist touring machine.
Kevin's article was longer than Chart could handle, so only part of it is in the issue.
The unedited version has been posted on their website. http://www.chartattack.com/features/2000/kevinyoung/
