In 1982, a 16 year-old Ryan was sent what we can presume to be his first fan club questionnaire by PS, a newsletter originally set-up for Shaun Cassidy and Parker Stevenson during the "Hardy Boys" days. By the early 80's though, the newsletter was emerging as a publication for the Cassidy family. For the most part, Patrick and his emerging career as well as David's continuing career were first additions but interest in Ryan led to his inclusion shortly thereafter. Marty was the main liason between the newsletter editors and the family and he passed this questionnaire along to an understandably reluctant Ryan. As always, he was a good sport and provided what was really the first look at who he really was as a person - besides being the younger brother and son who appeared at events. This questionnaire was printed in the June 1982 issue.
