Attacking
Attacking
*Attacking is a very important thing. If you are the one who is attacking the whole game and he has to play defense, you will most likely win the game.
Grunt Rushing
What is grunt rushing? Many People ask me this, When i try and give them some advice..but i'm shocked!. How could you not know what Grunt rushing is? (i mean you people who played awhile)? It is when you build a barrack as soon as you can (usually with your second peon on HIGH recources), build about 6 men, then attack the enemy. (if you don't know where he is just search around a bit), This is suppose to, If it works, Hurt the enemy bad enough in the beginning to give you an easy victory. There are different ways of doing this depending on your amount of men and if your on HIGH RES or LOW RES.
On high Recources
When you Grust Rush on high recources you go for there peons gettin' the gold. If you get thoes peons then you have an excellent chance of winning the game. After them take out any men and/or towers, you are then free to do whatever you want to there town. Remember that you must keep building men back in your town, and to keep sending them in to attack. I can't garentee this will work every time, because a few things could go wrong:
1) The enemy has more men then you.
2)He has like 3 cannon towers, which he will easly use kill your people with.
3)he is walled in.
4) you don't watch your city and it gets attacked while your not looking.
5) you don't watch your fighters and thay get back attacked.
on low Recources
When you are attacking on low recources it's a different game. When you attack, neither you nor him will have a lot of recources to rebuild with, so a desisive attack can win you the game right there. With the first inital attack like befor, you wanna be able to take out the peons. They won't have any towers most likely, so take out the farms (unless you are being beat from behind) Farms are costly to make very early on, and by doing this, they can't build any more units, and if they get a second town up, it will take it a while to grow, so you can find it and destroy it. The same things apply as to why a grunt rush might fail as befor.
Once the Game is Going
Once you have gotten past the inital part of the game, offense can be the key. Whether or not you have a bigger army (although it helps) you still should be able to win the game though your offensive skills. When you attack don't have each man attacking someone by themselvs, Have every man you got attacking one person. There are only a few reasons that you woulden't do this, and they are obvious:
1. You clearly have more men then the enemy, making it set up automatic 2 or 3 on 1's againest every enemy unit.
2. You have like level 5 men. and he has crappy weak men.
3. Your men well half to take several wacks befor reaching there destination.
Attacking Towns
When you are attacking towns, have most(or ALL) of your units attacking the same object. There is an order you should attack buildings in though, and it is vary important:
1. Kill the Peons.
2. Destroy any towers.
3. Take out stables.
4. Kill all enemy men.
5. Take out mage towers.
6. Take out Gryphon/Dragon roosts.
7. Take out Alchemist.
8.Take out barrack.
9. take out TownHall
10. take out blacksmith.
11. take out ANYTHING elce thats left to kill.
If any of these buildings are not in the town then just skip them and move to the next thing on the list. If your attack is at the beginning, and is it going to possably destroy them, take out there Blacksmith earlier, so that they can't upgrade there men. The reason you should take out the stables early, is so that if he has enough gold to keep building men, you would rather fight Grunts then Orcs (BELIVE ME)
This is all i know about attacking, I think it should cover you on everything you will need to know. If you know any other tips, strategies, or any ideas, send them to me.clarie@istar.ca
