Above Elbow Conventional Prosthesis Above elbow conventional prosthesis. The Prosthesis is suspended and controlled by a northwestern ring harness. Elbow function is controlled by a anterior elbow lock cable attached to the harness. Forearm rotation is set manually through elbow turntable. The terminal device is controlled by a posterior cable attached to the chest harness. Opening terminal device is achieved by shoulder excursion or reaching forward with prosthesis.
