1.  What is Jiu-jitsu?
Jiu-jitsu is all the martial arts in one - it is a scientific art of attack and defense.

2.  Which martial arts is it composed of?
It is made up of twists (Ai-Ki-Jitsu), falls (Judo), stun blows (Karate-Jitsu), Chinese Boxing (Ken-Po-Jitsu) and floor level fighting.

3.  Why is Jiu-jitsu the most complete martial arts?
Because it is a mixture of many in one, not just one alone.

4.  How are the lessons given?
Each instructor works with two students at the same time.  Each lesson is for approximately one hour.

5.  Is the result better this way?
Yes, if the lessons were given in larger groups, it would take six times as long to learn.

6.  What kind of method is used?
The lessons are consecutively designed in order to achieve automatic survival response.

7.  When does the student tend to forget what he/she has learned?
The lessons are consecutively programmed so that this does not happen.

8.  What about after completing the 50 lessons?
Each student goes on to learn new techniques and do reviews and tests to perfect his own style of defensive tactics. What he has just learned in the 50 Lesson Basic Course, is only the beginning. Everytime you come for your lesson it's a new challenge...no two lessons are the same.

9.  What does the student learn in the first lesson?
We will give to you a full introduction about the program and teach you about 5-6 techniques that most people have never seen before. There is no need to practice at home or memorize anything. We work with your instinctual response. Every lesson after that you review previous techniques and learn new ones to increase your funtional capacity.

10. Do I need any previous physical preparation or training?
No, neither.

11.  Can women and children do Jiu-jitsu?
Yes, there are special programs for both.

12.  What about age limit?
Anyone can do it from 5 to 60!

13.  How do I get to be a black belt?
The basic training course of 50 lessons is fundamental.  We have a Black Belt Program that would take 300 lessons to reach the Black Belt as a student. This means if you were to come twice per week it would take almost 3 years to achieve your Black Belt. Remember, the lessons are given one-on-one which is the fastest and most effective way to absorb the knowledge.

14.  What does the word Jiu-jitsu mean?
It means Gentle Art.
