When I die
I want to go to heaven,
I live on earth
a short time to prepare.
For the day
I meet with my sweet Jesus,
And make that
final journey over there.
When I die
please lay me 'neath the willows,
As dust, beneath
the grass of emerald green.
I'll rise
when my Jesus comes calling,
And ascend
on the end of angels wings.
When I die
I want to go to heaven,
I hold so dear,
the Holy Place to trod.
On bended knee
I praise my loving Jesus,
Praying in communion
with our God.
