The latenight roadside interview began with standard questions regarding
personal information, such as name, age, license and registration, where
you going etc. These questions I answered truthfully, and honestly using
my own cloudy recollection. There was really no point in quibbling about
any grey areas or incomplete answers. In just a scant few minutes things
turned for the worst, the officer asking the hard questions, and demanding
answers while pounding his flashlight into his palm. Why are you eating
tacos at three in the morning? What is wrong with your eyes, son?
are ya wasted? How many eggs in a gross? Who played first base
on the 1986 detroit tigers? Can you recite the alphabet backwards from
q thru d while standing on one leg with your head leaning way back and
touch your nose
for me?... followed by a lovely trip downtown for further conversation...
