FREDRICK MICHAEL GEARY JR.
BORN OCTOBER 14 1958
DIED MARCH 10 1995
Fred was the first born child in our family. He was later joined
by two brothers and a sister.
A very inquisitive boy-he had many interests. Typical boy things-
bugs, animals, fishing, exploring his surroundings, games, sports. He
was a loving affectionate little boy. He never met a stranger. He made
friends wherever he went.
He wasn't a very large boy, but what he lacked in size he more than
made up for in spirit. To the day of his death, he was the most free-
spirited person that we have ever known.
Fred traveled all over the United States. He knew no limitations.
He went from coast-to-coast, border-to-border enjoying everything to
the maximum. One of his highlights was going to the Woodstock reunion.
He assisted with he Hurricane Andrew recovery efforts in Florida. He
worked off-shore Louisiana on the oil rigs. He "rode" the rails, making
many friends along the way. He lived life as many people would desire-
if they had the grit and courage to do it. He put a lifetime of living
in his 36 years.
While not pursuing an extensive formal education, he achieved a
high degree of "LIFE" instruction. He certainly kept us on our toes.
As a young boy, his favorite played sport was football. In spite
of his small stature he excelled in the position of guard. Very few
players could get through him. He also played tackle succesfully.
Anyone who played on the opposing team would ever forget his
determination.
He excelled as a motocross rider, winning the Tri-state Championship for his class at age 16. He was fearless. Although some people
would use the word crazy! We spent many, many weekends traveling from
race to race.
Here's to you Fred. Your family and friends miss you. We are all
glad we knew you. May your free spirit be taken on a journey that will
never end.
WE WILL JOIN YOU WHEN IT IS TIME.
If you have a free spirited child, don't try to change them, and make them
into what you want them to be. It will not work. Enjoy them, love them, and make the most of there
free spirit. One never knows what tomorrow will bring.
